i have been told i need to replace the proportioning valve and brake lines as of right now the car only has rear brakes due to the bad proportioning vlve i am told. where would i find a cheap stock replacement one?if they arent availible to much any more will a rotory style one work? and where can i find the brake lines?

Try the dealership, I know these are still availible for the 71/72's ... newer el camino proportioning valves ought to be availible as well

Some of our sponsors like OPGI carry that stuff. they have the lines in steel and stainless steel

Try Classic Tube. (http://www.classictube.com/) Just the front brake lines are $65. They also sell an aftermarket brass proportioning valve that'll fit your Elky for $85.

You can also buy brake lines in any auto parts store and bend and flare them yourself.
