:? I have just dropped my front end with 2" dropped spindles. I had 235-15's on the front but they rub now. Any suggestions on tire and wheel size that will not rub?

Update 6-6-2003- My local tire store recommended 215-15's and they fit fine. Thanks John for the advise.

Welcome to ECC 83NHElky!

Where are the tires rubbing? Frame, Sway bar, Fender? I also have 235/60/15's on my 87 El Camino with stock spindles and they will rub if I turn them far enough.

Hi Ernie,

They are rubbing on the inside of the inner fender. When I look at the tire it sits about 1 inch into the fender well. So when I go over a bump they bottom out.

Thanks,

Allen

I run 225/60s. Before I lowered the front I ran 245/60s on all corners. The 245s rubbed slightly at stock height. The 225s fit great.
