Hey, all...
I'm so glad I found this site. It's hard to believe how many people out there have no appreciation for El Caminos... I guess I've inherited the bug. I can't count how many Caminos Dad has had.
So, anyway... I just recently aquired my 3rd Camino a '77 brown/tan Classic (previously I had a '74 and '71). I traded my Dad a '67 Belvedere Convertable for it... I hated to part with the Belvedere, but I just don't have the recources to get it going, and Dad does...
So, more about my truck. It started as a 350 4-bbl, auto. I've had it for about a year and a half, working on it for Dad, but just recently settled with him for the Belvedere. Since I've had it I put in a Carter 4-bbl, Edelbrock Performer intake, Hedman (I don't like Hedman, but that's what he wanted) ceramic coated headers, true duals... plus many other little things. I just got it back from getting new rear floor pans, and all the obligatory rear window rust replaced. I'm hoping to get it painted solid dark metallic gray, and would like to make it my daily driver. That is if I can talk myself into selling my '03 F150...
Currently I'm finishing up the floors, so I can put the carpet back in. Going to keep the tan interior until I get it painted, then convert it to black. I figure I'll be doing some custom fiberglass trim pieces, since nice originals are so hard to find for this body style... I'm also trying to get the 200-4R Dad put in it running right. I think I've got it all figured out, just haven't had the time...
So, there's more than you probably wanted to know about me, and I'll shut up now...
