Wow... never seen a Laguna front end on a fourth gen. Wonder how many came optioned like that from the factory.

This is the third Laguna front-end I've see on a 4th gen. Elky. I've never had the opportunity to validate any of them.

My reference manuals don't have the RPO number shown in the photos (6H1-Laguna Front), but if the other "build sheet" photo is showing COPO Ident. (as opposed to CUPO Ident.), then this is consistent with where I would expect the special 200 Laguna front-end El Caminos would have been ordered. COPO=Central Office Production Order. COPO orders didn't start until the late 1960's. Anybody have any background on COPO El Caminos?

Also, anybody ever seen the decal in this guy's sales ad? "Laguna Camino"?

I have always liked the 4th gen Caminos, but I would have to say that thing is one of the ugliest things I have ever seen. I understand why they only produced 200 of them, if they actually did.

Here is another one I found. This guy built it that way though. It's a nice 4th gen, just don't like the laguna front ends

I'm newer to the elkys what is considered "generation" i have 2- '75 elkys laguna's i love the front end, actuly bought it for my son he's 14 now hope to have it restored in the years comming.

Basically this is the different body styles. Like a 78-87 is a 5th generation. If you go the Members Cars gallery and look, the galleries are broken down by generations and shows the years of each gen.
