I found this pic. of a '71 Chevelle. They used a front spoiler from a '70 Buick GSX on it. I keep going back and forth on if it looks good or like it's added on and over the top. I'm also debating to go body color of leave it black like on the GSX. Help me decide before I spend the $140.
Here's what it looks like in black on the GSX:

...and what it looks like in body color on a Chevelle/Elky:

Don't like it, it looks like a bit too much on the front. Just my $0.02.

Although it looks good on the Buick GSX. I'm sorry to say it doesn't look good on the Chevelle. The 68-72 SS Chevelle's are all classics and if you've got one that's not all hacked up, it should be left alone...it already looks too damn good. Ahhh...to return to the times when Chevy styling engineers were geniuses who new what they were doing...oh well, maybe when I die and go to Chevy Heaven!

Yeah it's a tough one. I look at it and half the time I'm thinking it looks good and the other 1/2 I think bad. I photoshopped this next one. This is what the color and stripes or the car is going to look like(hopefully) with a black spoiler.

I think it's kind of cool. It gives a look like it's a real race car. I'd have to see it from the side though. But on an El Camino I don't think you can have so much stuff on the front becase there isn't much to see in the back if you know what I mean. :?:
Hmmm. I don't think I like it. :(
Maybe because it's just in the front. How about adding ground effects on the sides too?

I actually like the thought of a front spoiler on my 72, but not that model....as someone said....too much is visible.
I think a smaller one that wasnt so visible - especially if the Elky sits up - like mine does (454 car and with a 350 now and original BB springs) could look real good, and if positioned right could sure assist cooling, and lord knows you cant get enough cooling in Florida summers and on its hot asphalt....a BB pullin A/C....gets hot!

Chris, Chris, Chris...
No offense, but you asked for opinions. In my humble opinion, it doesn't look good. Save yourself $140.
