Does anyone have any suggestions for an affordable rear disc brake system for a 5th Gen?

Late model S10 brakes, wrecking yard runs about 150.00 for everything you need.

I'm planning on an LS1 rear conversion. Here's a good write up (http://www.thirdgen.org/newdesign/tech/ls1reardisc.shtml) for a 3rd gen Camaro but its the same for a 5th gen El.

I'm also considering a rear disk brake conversion.

Baer brakes offers an excellent rear disk brake conversion kit, but it depends on if $1000 is affordable and reasonable to you or not. I am greatly considering it once I get the cash :-)

Some company out there also offers 11" aluminum drum upgrade for about $500.00. I'll find out the companys name, they have them in the chevy high performance.
