I have seen a few killer 5th Generation Elky's with the 18" AR Torq-Thrust II installed and I was wondering if anyone had any idea as to the back spacing required to get these size rims to fit properly on an El Camino. I would also like any additional info on the max sizes for front and rear. I don't plan on going wider than 8 inches in the front if that is even possible, but I would like to go as wide as possible in the rear. If anyone can offer any idea's to my question, it would be great. Thanks All. :bomb:

go to www.bigwheels.net they will be able to help you out. all you have to is type in year make and model and they will give you different size options and options from different companies.

I'd say the most backspacing you could go is 4" front and rear with low profile tires and maybe some stiffer springs so they don't rub (and for better handling) 18x8 in the front might be alright with stiffer springs, but it could be cutting it close and I think stiffer springs generally lowerr the car an inch so the doesn't help either. 8" wide in the front is about it. In the rear, you can go wide, but not more than 4" backspacing. Over 8-ish and the wheels might stick out the side and look goofy.:-(
