Back in 1998 and 1999 I took my 79 SS on the Power Tour East. Those were the only two years that there was a Power Tour East. Now, I've been toying with the idea of my son and I taking my Elky on the 05 Power Tour for the long haul. Here is the current schedule of events:

Sat. June 4: Milwaukee, WI
Sun. June 5: Springfield, IL
Mon. June 6: Indianapolis, IN
Tue. June 7: Nashville, TN
Wed. June 8: Birmingham, AL
Thu. June 9: Tallahassee, FL
Fri. June 10: Kissimmee/St. Cloud, FL

Rhode Island to Milwaukee is about 1000 miles. The Power Tour is about 1500 miles and the trip from Kissimmee back to Rhode Island is about 1200.

I think it would be fantastic to have a NECOA presence at each stop. Is anyone else planning on attending any of the events?

I would love to go but it is on the other side of the country. To bad they dont run something like this in the great northwest. I think the sponcers have fears about getting enough people becouse we arent has populated in this area. If poeple really got behind something like this it could work over here. Might have to drive a little farthur to get to a major city but hey arent these cars for driving anyway?

I will be at the last event in Kissimmee/St.Cloud.

I will be meeting up with the tour in Birmingham or Tallahassee with a few members from my local car club (people with those other type cars). We are coming out of the Clearwater Florida area. If they don't make I will be coming.
Would very much like to meet up with any of NECOA members. Also is the Kissimmee stop at "OLD TOWN" if so thats late day into the night. As the leg from Tallahassee is a long one 275 to 300 miles I think as it is 260 from cleartwater area.
Would like more info if someone has it ? like where each stop is held and what time the estimated ETA is.

Well, my El Camino is ready to go, my son and I were registered, and we had all of our hotel reservations made. But, we won't be going on the PT this year.

My son has been applying for a police officer position with several of the local towns. He's made it through the testing process to the final three applicants with one of the larger towns and they want him to come in for the final interview process on June 8th. Since that would be in the middle of the PT, we won't be going on it this year. I guess there's always next year.
