Anyone know a bolt on conversion for rear drum to disc brakes that will work on a lowered (Hotchkis) spring, with parking brake?
All kits I have seen state standard ride height only.
Thanks

Lowering the suspension/ride height has nothing to do with a brake conversion. Any conversion listed for a stock height ride will work on yours.

I was told by SSBC that lowering the ride (i.e. the resting state of the car) would cause a clash with the parking brake feature on the discs.
Is this correct, or as - you say is this not correct - dont know why the manufacture would advise me not to buy his product!!

That is correct---I have the SSBC bolt on set up------if the car has less than a 15 inch wheel and the spring s have been lowered to below stock the caliper setup will hit the frame rail on the inside------great setup--however the draw back is that you cannot play with the travel height of the supension---if you are thinking of getting the SSBC setup pm me----

With all the S10 talk latley I was ASSuming we were talking about late model swaps. The old integral parking brake/rear calipers suck. They always have, we have been cursing them since GM started building them in the early 70's. I try to forget about those calipers as often as possible. I would look for a system that used a seperate parking brake like a late S10 kit or even an aftermarket kit like Wilwood or Aerospace that use a seperate caliper for the parking brake.

my elky is lowered 2 inches and has a MPBrakes rear disc conversion. I recommend the kit but you will need to save your old parking brake cables.

I really dont plan on using the e-brake anyway, My car is also lowered 2's, help me out..
