First off, welcome to ECC / NECOA. You have found the best place on the net for Elky's.
In answer to your question...by joining ECC / NECOA you are a member of whatever region you live in. As of right now, when a new member joins, it is not required to let us know where you live. So, it is very tough for me to tell you whom to contact. It is also very tough for the regional director to know that you joined. We are working on correcting the situation, but for now, I would recommend that you go and update your profile with at least a state location.
Also, look over this regional director's list (http://elcaminocentral.com/article-86-thread-1-1.html). Depending on where you live, I would contact that regional director.
If you have problems, send an email to me at jlevitan@holycross.edu and I'll try and help or contact someone who can.
Sound ok?

oh, by the way, I checked out your ride. Very nice. Looks very clean. I had a 3rd gen '72 just before I got the 4th gen '73 I have now. Check out some pic's (http://elcaminocentral.com/modules.php?set_albumName=album35&op=modload&name=Gallery&file=index&include=view_album.php&page=1). I would have loved to keep both, but only have room for one
I like what you did with the side mirrors, wheels, etc. looks great.
I *think* I might know what you're asking, cause I almost figured it out trying to do the same thing today.
If you're looking to join a "User Group" ....look for the link to Usergroups (just below/left of the El Camino Member Forums Headline up there ^^). Then you select the group you want, such as Region 6 for Florida.
When you continue and click View Information, you'll see the list of the group members and another button to JOIN GROUP. I'm not sure what happens next....it says membership pending so a site administrator or moderator must have to "approve" it....but this might be a start??

Cher has it correct as far as 'joining' Region 6....
and what happens after you submit...well, thats top secret!! You will just have to take a chance and submit your application - along with a check to me for $5000 as well as a new 454 engine for my Elky, and then we will send you the code to get the top secret information....
as soon as I remember what it is... :P
just kidding of course...actually not much happens with that except you get the words under your name like I have....at least thats all for now...(and the same happens if you join the 3rd Gen Owners Group)
so anyway, welcome to El Camino Central, to the NECOA, AND to Region 6!!
AND TO DIABLO....well done my friend on getting the word out....!
