8) Remove the caliper, drill a 1/8 inch hole and tap in (with a hammer) an easy out to remove the stub. Then bleed your brakes.

New calipers are only around $12-$15.

That is where I'm at. It's just too much effort for a part that is that cheap in cost to work on it. Just replace it. :)

Friday after work my 93 Pickup lost its right rear wheel cylinder, well its not lost its actually there but it is blown out. They are only like $10 each for rebuilt ones. I put rebuild calipers on my 76 way beack when I was working on that part of the truck they were something like 25.00 each with a 35 or $40.00 core charge. It was really strange they wanted more for the core than what the calipers were worth re-built. Still 25.00 is nothing for most of us.

Thanks for all the help i went to auto zone today and bought calipers for both sides of the front it cost me 47 bucks all together we broke the bleeder inside the passenger side caliper so there was no takin it out it we even drilled a hole and put a easy out in it it was in so tight that it broke the easy out

The reason the core charge is higher then the price of the rebuilt part is that way the rebuilder is almost garunteed to get a steady supply of cores instead of the cores ending up in the landfill.
