:?: Hi everybody This is my first time asking for some help on the coolest site.My 82 Elky came with the 267ci motor 2bbl carb and th 350.I was wondering if there are any performance modifications I could do to this motor.Like a 4bbl with a better intake and dual exhaust.I really didn`t want to spend money for a motor upgrade right now ,especially since the motor runs good and doesn`t burn any oil. I do plan on doing an engine upgrade later on but was hoping to get a little more power without spending $3.000.00 right now.My real project that is going to cost is a suspension upgrade and better brakes, maybe 4 wheel disc.
8) Thanks and keep those Elkys runnin.

Any mods you do now, be sure they are something you can transfer over to a new engine later. You could begin with a decent intake/carb setup, headers and exhaust.

Theres no helping the 267. I put one in a fullsize GMC truck with 4bbl, headers, and 4.11 gears. It was absolutly SLOOOOOOOOW! Just drive it as is untill you get something better lined up, pretty much anything you do to it will be time better spent on somthing else

The saying: "267 performance modifications" is an oxymoron. It's kinda like saying "military intelligence" or "jumbo shrimp".
I agree with Robert. Since the 267 is a SBC, a set of headers, dual exhaust, intake, and carburetor installed now, can be swapped onto a nice 350 later.

8.71 Blower with injector...Naw better stay with headers, intake, carb and ignition.
