It not possible to tell from the VIN or the Body Tag (info you sent).

You did give the VIN so I can't tell you if that even points to a V8 Car.

ST 69-13680 BF 07380
ST is short for STyle
69 - 1969 model year
13680 - El Camino Custom 2 dr pickup delivery

BF - Fremont CA Fisher Body Plant ID code
07380 - Fisher Body ID number

TR 756 B80 B90 69 B
TR is short for TRim
756 is interior code for Black Bucket Seats (option in all models and not a SS item)
B80 - Option code for Roof Drip Molding
B90 - Option code for Door and Window Frame Molding

69 B is the lower paint and upper top color
69 - Cortez Silver
B - Black Vinyl Roof Cover

02D 033731 390046
02D - Built the 4th week of Feb 1969
033731 390046 - Data Processing Sequence Number. How the keep track of this car during scheduling and final assembly. Nothing about the car from this number.

An El Camino is not supposed to have a rear sway bar so someone added that to the car. Chevelle is same suspension.

The only way to document the car is to have the factory build sheet of which copies were often left in the cars and may still be hiding under the carpers, on top of fuel tank or any place that was have concealed it for al this years. Every work station in the plant generated these for each car and if it was not in plain sight, it could be still there. But if someone restored the car, the may have found it and if it never was given to subsequent owners then it could be that they were hiding some facts on the car. Also it possible none survived all these years.

Baring no build sheet, then you need other supports original documentation like original invoice or bill of sale with the options listed. Ever since PC's came along, clever folks have been able to make up a lot of the documentation to support their builds.

Chevrolet does not have any information to provide, so that is out.

Mike,
Thanks for the information. The VIN number does show to be a V8. Was the 396 available in anything other than the SS. The car has a 468 in it now but I have the original 396 that came in the car. It was restored about 10 years ago by the previous owner so if there was a build sheet it is long gone now. BTW the VIN number is 136809Z335261
