rombisoid 12-26-2004, 12:51 AM You cannot tell me that there isn't anything or anybody doin anything with elky's in the region, we're gettin owned by ALL other regions. This region, in real life really isn't that good, i'd rather be in Cali, but,c'mon, step up and post something, damn. Imma move 2 states over so I can get some "region" action goin,,,,,, POST SOMETHING. i'm in the Lansing mich. area, want to BBQ or something, POST

hobartmulletguy 02-08-2005, 07:35 PM Region not so boring, ok maybe, but I went to KY for this Camino and there's this place called Tapp Motors in Owensboro. They got some cool stuff. Anyway the cars a 79 w/ a 350 & plenty of problems, dont know what to do first.
rombisoid 02-09-2005, 12:24 AM we have LIFE in here, wooohoooo,, mission complete:)
Bobs 81 02-09-2005, 04:38 AM I agree with CHVYPWR. I have a hard time going outside and firing up the project car in this weather. THREE more weeks till March. THEN I'll think I've made it through another winter. I'm hoping we can get a swap meet together this year, now that we're getting organized. Bob
rombisoid 02-09-2005, 09:42 AM Swap meet would be great, I'll bring the "johnsonvilles" and some b33r, but the Elky has to stay home this season :)
hobartmulletguy 02-11-2005, 09:31 PM How do I get a pic of the car on here?

My office in Ann Arbor is available any weekend!
rombisoid 02-13-2005, 01:12 AM So what are you saying, I bring the "brats and b33r" and we party? I'm up for that :)
Randal13 07-08-2005, 12:54 PM This is a good region, i think. I've lived in Maysville all my life, only 15 yeras so far. I'm getting 2 Elky's today, from Flemingburg. A 1979 and 1980 model, there is still a lot of good looking Elky's in the is state, most need work, but with time can become good as new.
ElkyPete 07-08-2005, 01:42 PM Welcome Jacob!
Good that you found us. Congrats on the recent purchases.
rombisoid 07-11-2005, 06:47 PM Yeah, welcome Jacob, to our "lil El camino world". You'll find all kinds of good info and deals in this forum, and some really nice people too, with some bad-a$$ rides :)
P Green 07-18-2005, 07:34 AM Sorry for not getting involved more. I just found this section. I have had my '78 Elky for about 2 years now and although it isn't perfect.....yet, I work on it when I can and have had some fun modifying the suspension. So far I have added the Monte SS sway bars and steering box plus the Grand Prix bar like CHEVYPWR showed me. I also added Eibach springs and KYB shocks. It looks rough but handles great.
To HOBARTMULLETGUY, I know the dealership you went to in Owensboro, I grew up there and they have been more than shady the entire time they have been in the auto business.

I going to go ahead and lock this post, as our region is no longer "boring". There are all sorts of events that are going on, we just need to get out and do them!
