I posted this question in the Engine Topics forum, and didn't get any responses... I thought I would post it here, and see if anyone would chime in... Please help me get the ElDawgSS back on the streets...
Thanks in advance...

Fellas...
I am in the process performing a 1990-350 TPI swap. My original engine (305 4bbl) had one hose running from the water pump to the heater core, and the other running to the intake manifold (if memory serves).
With the TPI, the fuel lines coming from the fuel rails block access to the outlet on the top of the water pump.
To those that have done, or seen this swap, how did you route the heater core hoses. I am bypassing the throttle body with one hose, and running it straight into the intake manifold (btw... any drawbacks on the throttle body bypass?). Since I can't plug the other heater core hose into the water pump, where can I route it? I believe that the IROCS had an additional water inlet place for the other hose. My other IROC (parts car) has no raidiator, so, I can't verify...
Any help would be greatly appreciated...
For reference here is a picture of my swap: http://www.chevelles.com/showroom/rick/tpibrackets007.jpg I didn't have any problem with the heater hoses. My fuel lines are on the drivers side, under the radiator hose on the right of the picture. A Corvette has the fuel lines on the passenger side & this may be the difference. Will a 90 degree outlet fitting help you get clearance? I can get better pictures of my setup if you think it may help.
I don't have the throttle body water hoses connected and have never had a problem. We had 20 degree temps last week and it started & ran just fine.

Are you running steel braided fuel lines from the gas tank, or using the factory fuel lines, and replacing the rubber with metal?
Are you running low pressure fuel line before the fuel pump? Return Line?
I'll try to post a couple of pictures tomorrow AM. At the tank, I drilled a hole thru the fuel gauge sending unit. Then JB Welded a pickup tube down into the tank, extending it beyond the stock fuel sock. I use this for the return. I also use the stock fuel line as return from the motor.
I have a low pressure fuel pump (from TBI Buick as I recall - eBay item) mounted at the tank. I ran an aluminum hard line parallel to the original line to the front. The hi pressure pump is under the passengers seat.
At the front where the hard lines end (near stock fuel pump location) I continued with braided fuel lines. They go up to the radiator crossmember, acrossed to the driver side frame rail. In behind the power steering pump and up to the stock camaro TPI connectors.
I added the low pressure pump after eating 2 high pressure pumps in less than 10K miles. I've got about 25K on the low/hi pump combo and no problems with it. I do have a problem with fuel starvation when the tank is below 1/3 and I take a corner (doesn't need to be hard). I am going to add a surge tank in front of the low pressure pump sometime in the future.
IF I don't post pix remind me. Email to rickasATchevelles.com
I remembered :D
Here is pic from top that shows fittings at fuel rail where they go behind P/S pump. http://www.chevelles.com/showroom/rick/WIRING006.jpg
This is lines as they tuck up under A/C compressor & then behind P/S pump. http://www.chevelles.com/showroom/rick/WIRING007.jpg
This shows the 2 water pump connections. http://www.chevelles.com/showroom/rick/WIRING011.jpg
I used a right angle fitting on the manifold, you can see it at upper left of picture. I don't remember where I got the fitting. Probably from Jegs, Summit or A Street Rod supplier, maybe www.yogisinc.com

Great pics man... I will be heading out to work on it in about 20 minutes... I will try to post some pics later...
I think I was trying to hook them up the exact opposite with the right angle in the water pump instead of the manifold... I will switch them today, but, I think I brought the fitting too large. I will try to find one the same size as yours...
