well my camino was in the shop to have the rotors changed and it was taken off the road due to insurance problems. During that time my dad painted my camino as my graduation present:

these are the fist pics (theyre kinda crappy) so when i get some better ones ill post those too. I just got it last night :)

its a dark metallic grey with black SS stripes on the hood/cowl. The front and rear bumpers are black, as well as the grill and most of the trim (around the bed, windows and headlight bezels)

let me know what you guys think. I dont know if you can spot them in any of the pictures but below the body line (where the trim was) on each side, theres a set of ghost flames that look pretty hott. Ill get a better pic of those and everything else later! Woo! this rocks!

It looks like, from the pictures, that you used a "Film" type camara and it needs a Blue Filter. That helps remove the "Blue" from the photos on a clear sunny day. Gray, especially Lt. Gray is difficult to photograph on a clear sunny day without the filter.

If you were using a digital then I am lost. However the topic is not "My Camara". It is a good looking truck from what I can tell. Looks like your dad did a real bang up job on the paint. DId he paint it or did he send it to have it painted?

Grats on Graduation! :bigups: HS or College?

Your Elky looks great. Your dad did a nice job. How did he paint over chrome bumpers? I like that look.
Now let me get this straight, you graduated and your dad painted your Elky? Hey, does your dad want to adopt me?

Great looking car. It's gonna be nice driving it to college and / or work. Keep the shiney side up and the rubber down and do some cruisen this summer.

wow is all I can say. Thanks guys!

theelcaminofactory: Its an orange bowtie sticker on the plastic dash piece which goes across the passenger area. It was on there when I picked up the ride and I just left it there.

ElkyPete: It was a digital camera, which was why I was confused also. I think the camera was set on auto adjusting so it messed up the light. Anyway, my dad did all the work and painted it. Im now out of high school, btw.

a72elky: Well I wasnt there for the step-by-step process but he told me that he sandblasted the bumpers and the trim then painted them black.

Anyways, heres some better pics:

and for theelcaminofactory, the interior: (Warning! under construction lol)

I plan on reworking the interior with buckets and a console, dash cap, new door panels, headliner, carpet, the works...

thats all for now. Ill be posting better pictures in my album as they arrive. Thanks again guys!

I think your off to a great start...and all in all the interior isn't in bad shape either. Should have seen mine when I got it and I still have a long way to go.

yeah, the problem is going to be finding the dough for all this along with college. But sad to say, school comes first :(

Looks real nice Brian. The cowl hood and the MCSS rims make it look tough.
