I just finished my Project: El Camino website for my '83 Elky. Check it out, read the sad story, and sign the guestbook!

I like your website--good job. I'm real sorry to see you've had such bad luck with your Elky. My wife and I have raised 5 boys and I'd like to give you some advice if I can. It is always easier to blame someone else or something else for your misfortune but it takes a real mature person to ask himself "could I have prevented this?". You could have checked the oil level and prevented the engine from seizing. I'm not an expert but from the damage on your Elky it sure looks to me like you ran into the S10. Could you have been more alert and prevented that from happening?
Hey...you can always replace a motor or beat sheetmetal back into shape, it doesn't look to me like any permanent damage was done.

1)I admitted on my website,if you read, that it was my fault not to have checked the oil...
2)If you saw the Elky in person, you could see the damage where the s-10 dragged along the side of the car, there are scratches on the fender, mirror, and door panel. My camera phone doesn't take good pics....

just keep that in mind

also:

when car A (elky) is going 25 and car B (s-10) is going 50, car B will definately cause a bumper to rip off, swing around, and hit the opposite fender when they hit the side and don't stop or slow down much...

I'm sorry that you might be taking my comments the wrong way. You could be right that the accident wasn't your fault, my question is whether YOU could have prevented it. There are a lot of bad drivers out there; just being right is not enough; you need to actively avoid THEIR errors. Assuming that everyone out there will always do the right thing and never do anything stupid is just asking for more accidents.
Sheessh! Five sons, no daughters; I thought only boys were headstrong.

nice little site, but change your text color if your going to keep your red tire marks for the background. and one more thing......please take off the caps! it seems like your yelling the whole time lol.

Sorry, I do come off a little defensive.... not wanting to sound mean!
Well, as I said in the story, If I had swerved to avoid the person trying to get into my lane, I would've hit another car with children in it. My split-second decision was to get hit and not hit the car with the kids.
I figured that was the right one...
Also, there were 2 turn lanes, and I was in the outer one, the guy in the s-10 evidently just wanted MY turn lane BAD..
sorry again to come off mean

I'll change the website colors as soon as i can login to geocities, thanks for the constructive criticism

how much do the graphics cost?
I'd love a banner and a few graphics, but dont have the extra money to spare for them...
I'm also interested in it for my other website...
just my dog training business..
it's quite dull, but i try...
