I finally have my car mostly back together and would like to run/tune it on a chassis dyno before I go run it at the strip. Anybody know of one within a couple of hours of Eureka, CA?

Thanks,

Devin

...within a couple of hours of Eureka, CA?

Geez... that pretty much limits it to what, Eureka, Arcata, or Redding? There is just not much up there in that part of Ca, especially within 2 hours. But *that* is the attraction of living up there

Sounds like you might know the area. I suppose it's the price I pay for living here in relative serenity. I'm guessing 6-8 mpg with 427/4.56 combo, don't want to spend a week's wages in fuel just to get to the dyno.........and yes, I do believe in driving

San Jose is the closest place I can think off the top. Check the Corvette/LS1 Camaro boards. Those guys are know where to dyno.

Yeah I spent 5 years as a kid living in Orleans. We used to come to Eureka once a month to do the grocery shopping.

Then about 9 months up in Orick until we could not take not seeing the sun anymore.

My dad worked for Cal-Trans so I sometimes describe myself as the California version of a military brat (moving every few years).

You know with your setup, and location, and the price of gas... it might be more cost effective to buy a G-analyst and/or a wide band O2 sensor for your tuning.

Let's see a google search turns up smokemup.com for chassis dyno locator:

Did not find anything closer... you've tried yellow pages? asking around local speed shops? (you have to have something with a drag stip in Somoa).

I've asked everybody I know to no success.....all you can do is run it at Samoa and hope you hook up etc....I want it to be set before I ever get it out there again. Do the trial and error in the dyno shop, then work out the suspension at the strip. I had it hooking pretty good with the previous rendition of this motor, but this current build should make much more power ( of course!).....
