:)
Well guys it looks like you all have another 84 elco on the board. I’ve had it for about 8-years and have done a lot of upgrades to the brakes, suspension and drive train over that time. I call it my Cowboy Corvette as its setup to go, stop and turn. So it’s great to be aboard. Phil.

Welcome good to have another member. What a nice truck! So how do you like that 200R4? My 5th gen has a Turbo 700R4 but I was thinking about the 200R4 for the 76 Model.
What gears are you running in the rear?

ElkyPete go for it the 200R4 has been my favorite street trans. For some time, has a good low 1st and O/D and with a lockup converter, I like it! The 8.5 rear has 3.42 gears.
So I’ll give ya a link to the 200R4 guru, I use there 9-11 converter, shift kit and lots of other parts.

And on there site they have the best info you can find for building a bulletproof 200R4. :D

Nice conversion! Looks like you lost two wheels and picked up some flames during the conversion...

LOL, you must be talking about my other toy the soft tail. That is the first bike I ever built new all out of boxes only the trans. was complete in the box. I built it back in 95 and still have it, 96cid S&S eng., ported & flowed STD heads, 11 to 1 pistons and compression releases just to start it! For a heavy soft tail it rips and or burns the back tire. BTW the elco has some pinstriped flames on it to.
