which transmission came on the '82 model? I just bought mine and have a lot to learn.

I'm pretty sure it was a TH350C for V-8's and a TH200C for V-6's. Can somebody back me up on this?

Thanks.......we'll wait and see if any more replies arrive. Does this transmission have a lockup converter or an overdrive gear? I have the stock V8, whatever that is.

If it is in fact the TH350C then yes it has a lockup converter, the C means that its computer controlled. No overdrive, the lockup is supposed to increase the mpg.

How do you tell if it's a C. I went based on the pan shape to determine mine is the 350. Not sure if it's a C or not.

there will be an electrical plug on top of the tranny, can't remember which side, but it will on top of the side of the tranny just above the pan. I'm at work now but when i get home tonight i'll take a picture of it so you can get an idea what i'm talking about, since i have a TH350c setting in my garage.
