Ok so i got the gforce, im lookin under the car, and over the driveshaft theres a little "thing" its like a joint protector for the driveshaft.....its a small piece of metal, but has anyone had this get int he way of pipes? any harm in removing it, it doesnt look like it'd stop anything from doin harm anyways....just curious

Sounds like your talking about the part that is like a factory driveshaft loop. It shouldn't get in the way of anything.

I thought about buying the g-force X-member, but ended up modding an extra one I had lying around. It ended up having plenty of clearence, and it was free :D

yeah...i thought about that too, but some guides i'd seen online they didnt look very sturdy, this thing is massive, im sure it'll slow my car down massive lol, oh well no biggie its not a fast elky anyways, but this thing feels like it could handle massive massive HP, and maybe even help prevent some frame twisting if i ever get her to pull wheelies

Gforce is a good unit, if you got the cash. For my 79 it made more sense to modify a presmog xmember. Abuddy gave me one from a 66 "A" body.
Had to cut 3" from each end, extend the left frame rail box. Trans.mount is 69 chevelle th350. Only trouble was with exhaust pipe from right header(Flotech) for some reason it isn't as deep as the left one. The xmember is higher on the right.
