Hey guys, i'm new on this site so i'll try this and see if i did this right. I'm driving an 82 elky with a e2me, 2bbl rochester carb. I'm thinking of swapping it for a bigger model ( e4me 4bbl). Can this work with the same computer? :?

Yes, I believe it will work. After all, the e-carb interfaces with the computer (ECM) in the following ways: 1) the Throttle Position Indicator (TPI) provides the ECM with throttle position information so the lock-up torque converter will lockup at the right time/speed; 2) The ECM sends signals to the carburetor Mixture Control Solenoid (MC Solenoid) in order to control the rich/lean mixture. The ECM gets the righ/lean feedback from the O2 Sensor and adjusts the carb accordingly. If it were not for the TPI and the MC Solenoid, a non electronic carb would work just fine on that engine.
