OK, the computer cntrolled carb in my '84 El Camino just died.
Do I --
-rebuild it (the squeaky clean anti-smog machine)?
-replace it with simething like a Holley 650, and manifold too? (on the old 305)
-replace the whole old 305 with a late model fuel injected 350?

Tonight, all three options are open...

well...personally if i had the funds, time, and time, and time, to do the 350 EFI swap i'd do it, you can get more power outta the tpi setup and 350, it'd be an awesome ride when your done


BUT
its not cheap, especially if you dont have the motor already, i have a few places you might be able to get it if your serious.....but its not cheap, wiring harness, all the parts you would need etc, and it would definetly take a long long time.

otherwise, dont rebuild the carb, just get a holley 650, throw an edelbrock performer intake (get the rpm or air gap if you can find an EGR kit for it) and have fun with the ride
