Hey guys, i was gonnna install my crossmember last night, but due to the fact that the stock cat is in the way, i couldn't, anyways i removed the old one, (its back in now) but boy what a pain that was! Any tips for doing it? i jacked up the tranny, but that just felt so wrong with all the creaks i was getting otu of it, and i had to raise it up so high just to get the notch out for the tranny support. any other suggestions? I just didnt know how much play the whole engine/driveline has in it, and dont want to end up breaking something :) I used blocks and jacked it up right beneath the trannypan.

You can jack the tranny up to the floor hump without hurting anything. Are you leaving the converter in the system?

yeah leaving drivetrain stock...for now, migth drop tranny later to do torque converter/shift kit....just drove a 1968 gt mustang with around 300HP....man that was kinda fun, scary, but fun, no power steering and no power brakes is no fun with idiotic traffic
