I just found out via engine decoding, that my engine came out of a 77 chevy truck either c10 or 2500...

This is a good strong engine, my question is what the difference between the regular car motor and the truck motor if any?

Here I is, ready to be "negative and "sarcastic". Not much difference, if any between car and light truck engines, medium duty truck engines are adifferent story.. I hope that wasn't too negative or sarcastic.

You know Meeno after looking at my previous post I realize that it just isn't up to my normal standards of extreme negatism and biting sarcasm so I want to revise it. Here goes: a 305!!!!, why waste your time rebuilding that slug? Step up to a real mans motor--a 383 or 400...at least a 350.
OK! I feel much better now.

I can tell you're enjoying this....

:)

As for truck blocks, they usually are much the same. Maybe a bit more webbing in the bottom end but that's it. Usually truck blocks came with really small valve heads made to make more torque than HP at lower speeds. Of course who reuses stock emissions heads anyway. Usually cheaper to just buy better flowing new ones.

......and my Elky has this
......me too!
......wow, that's groovy...
