I just finished my custom stereo installation this weekend. After about a year of pondering, I finally decided to build a floor console for it as opposed to taking it down the the local shop and having them cut a hole out where the original stereo is. I took the old do it yourself approach and with a little knowledge gained somewere between Monster Garage and Trading Spaces, I made a mock-up of the console out of cardbaord and went back through and made templates and wood cut-outs. A long story short: It turned out very well and I actually suprised not only my dad and my carpenter of a neighbor, but myself. I will post pictures of it as soon as i can.
