Hi Fellow Elky Owners

I've been trying to search the site for my problem, but have not been able to pinpoint my exact problem. My heater fan is always ON and in the low speed. So no matter what position the heater fan switch is on, the fan runs in the low speed, even when the switch is off. So, I have replaced my fan motor and fan relay. Is the next step to replace the switch on the instrument heater control?

Thanks

"Another feature of the system is continuous low-speed operation of the heater and air conditioner blower". That is a quote from the 1979 El Camino Owner's and Driver's Manual.

I have the same Issue/problem/feature in mine.
I think that another relay in the system is in my future.

That's good to know, except I do not have a medium or high blower speeds, only low.

I had a similar problem. I removed the four-plug connector from the heater motor under the hood. I removed each of the metal connectors from the plastic unit and cleaned them up with sandpaper. Did the same with the four prongs on the motor. I put dielectric grease on the terminals and reconnected everything. Voila! Fan works great.
