I recently bought a '78 Elky for my 16 year old son. The engine in it turns out to be a 350/4 barrel carb from a '75 Camaro that puts out a sickly 155 hp. The emissions hoses don't all match to the '78, and the choke doesn't work at all, so I'm thinking of putting on a new intake manifold and 4 barrel. I know I could boost the performance with better cylinder heads and new cam, but I don't want to go that far this time. We don't have emissions checks here yet. I'd like to boost the performance a little while still maintaining drivability, so any suggestions on a manifold/carb combination?

well intake manifold if you dont have EGR, i'd go with the performer RPM or air gap...carb a 650cfm holey would be just fine....check your summit catalog they've got a kit, one even comes with a new cam

Performer or EPS is what you need, no cut divider & 600cfm is enough.

I went with a edlebrock performer RPM manifold and a 625 road demon carb on my 350.

I went with a performer intake & edelbrock carb 1406 with the electric choke. The carb make a HUGE difference in the drivablity of the car.

I used the Air Gap and a Holley 600cfm. I have NO problems,
