On Friday and Saturday nights I usually take my Elky out to the main drag in the cities along with all the other car lovers in Minnesota. It's basically just an unorganized car show for any type of car you can bring. I've had people offer me like $3000 for my car. Of course i said no. I was just wondering from you guys, whom actually have experience with El Camino's think its worth. It's an 85 El Camino has the 305 w/4 barrel carb. 97,000 miles on it. no rust. clean interior. new exhaust. what do you think. i want to keep it though. it's a wierd question. the kelley blue book says like $2,995 but i bought it for $39,000 about a month ago. did i get ripped off?

Not to sure Dan, but if you paid $39,000 for your elky, that better be one sweet ride!
Only bustin you, I'm sure you meant $3900. Not sure what yours is worth. Got any pics??

The KBB is just a guide. Don't take the prices seriously. If you're happy with your Elky then you didn't get ripped off. It's certainly not going to depreciate in value like other vehicles.

If your interested...I'll sell you my 84 cheap...lets say $20,000 negotiable. (sorry just being a wise @$$) You didn't add an extra 0 in there by chance did you? :D

I don't think the truck was over 20,000 brand new. But then I didn't buy a brand new Elky in 87 so I can't say for sure. The most I paid for one of mine was $750.00 and that was the 76 model. The 80 I paid $300.00 for and the 72 was free.

Mine at present are priceless, to me anyway. :-D Price is subjective. I knew a owner who sold his 77 Elky at an auction for $10,000.00. What do you feel like yours is worth? That is what counts.
