i have a cracked inner fender on the passenger side. its going to have to be replaced eventually and i was wondering how hard it would be. will the heater/ac stuff right above need to be removed and if so what will that involve. any information or tips would be great.

What year is your car. If it's a 5th gen, almost all the bolts go in from inside the fender well so it's relatively easy to get off.

The passenger side inner wheel well on your 78 can be replaced in about 45 minutes by one person. It'll take an hour for two people because one person would be in the others way. The bolts are all accessed from the underside of the wheel well. Jack up the RS front, put a jack stand under frame and remove the wheel. Remove the radiator overflow tank. Unbolt the bolts underneath the wheel well as necessary. Remove the old wheel well and reverse the procedure to install the new one.
