What does tach batt mean on the side of my distrubitor? It's a 85 Elcamino w/ 305 V-8.

The batt is the battery lead that comes from the battery supplying power to your coil and the Tach is the tachometer lead which you hook you tach lead to from you tach (rpm gauge). Hope that helps.

You must have a GM HEI distributor. The batt connection is the 12 volts coming from your ignition switch. The tach connection goes to the tachometer filter and then to the dash tachometer.
