Has anybody here swapped to a B-body master cyliner?
-Does it have more braking power?
-Is it a direct fit?
-Do I need the booster too?

There isn't much left I can do to make these brakes work better. I'm taking off the current master cylinder tomorrow to check it out. If it's good, I'll try bleeding it again.

I put a powerbrake master cylinder from an 84 Impalla on my 86 Elky an it was a direct fit. It was for power front discs. It has a 1 1/8" piston for the front discs and a smaller one for the rear drum. When I get the rear disc on, I will try a LS1 m/c, but the lines are on the other side.

The 84 Impalla m/c works good on the setup I have now; LS! front discs and stock rear drums.

You can look up master cylinder kits on advanceautoparts.com to find out the piston size.

If you haven't already read the article on the site below, read it . He explains disc brake in easy to understand terms.
