Hey guys, we are trying to form an EC club in OKC. We meet on the 2nd Saturday of the month, at 11 AM. Our meeting for April will be held at Ron's hamburgers and Chili, located at Edmond Road, and Santa Fe, in the shopping center located on the Northwest corner of that intersection. Hope to see you there! Tommyturbo2.

Yes the club is active and growing! We call ourselves the Pedal Down Club. There are no dues so all you have to do is show up.

We meet on the second Saturday of each month at the Steak & Shake on 2nd Street in Edmond. We meet at 10:00 and eat a very early lunch or drink a milk shake.

We have a BIG one time special event planned for this Saturday September 22nd in downtown Edmond. We would love to have all the Elky owners attend. Bring your Elky and you will be a part of it. It really is a big secret that I can't reveal until Saturday. It does involve FREE food.

If you are interested in attending PLEASE contact me via email or PM. I will get you the email address of Curt Coyle who is the man behind the club. The media will there and it will be something to behold.

Anyone within driving distance of Edmond OK should really try to attend this event next Saturday! It will be a very special tribute to someone very special and will draw much attention. You'll be glad you were there.

Details can't be released beforehand, but it will definitely be the place to be with your Elky and your American flag. Contact our Regional Director, Curtis Coyle of the Pedal Down Club, at:

CDCOYLE@cox.net for details.

Today is the day!

If you can drive your Elky to Downtown Edmond and be there before 5:00 PM please do it!

It is going to be an awesome event.

FREE food ! Yes Free Food.

Bring your own drinks.

If you drive your Elky you can park under the cover with the rest of us. Otherwise you will probably have to park a few blocks away. Either way If you love Elkys and even more important if you support our troops be there!

Does any one know if the El Camino club in Edmond still meets? The posts that said the 2nd saturday were pretty old, I was hoping somebody knew if this one still meets or if there are any others around the state. Thanks for your help.

Yes we still meet. Second Saturday is still the day. We have been moving around some in recent weeks but we are going back to Steak & Shake this month (April 2008)

Contact Curt Coyle at cdcoyle@cox.net and he will let you know about the next meeting.

It is a laid back group with no dues.

I hope to see you there.

I am also still interested. I'm currently deployed but am returning in a few weeks. I just ordered a 383 Stroker to replace my 400 sbc in my 1968 El Camino. I should have installed and running in just a couple of days after I return. I'm really wanting to show up to a meet and finally show off my ride. Please post if you have any info on any meets in OKC, thanks!

I can make a drive to Guthrie, but Texas is bit of a stretch. I'd like to meet up with a bunch of other El Caminos and Chevelles. Hit me up at USAFquez@aol.com and keep me updated on news. I just got my new 383 in my '68 and I'm eager to show it off.

USAFquez

I have an Edlebrock 1407 (750 CFM) carb on it. I still haven't fine tuned it yet but I have it driveable. I'm wanting to take it down to ThunderVally this friday and see what it'll run and maybe tinker around with the carb and see if I can get it a little closer to stoich.

Ok, I'm going to give this thread one last attempt. I see El Caminos all over OKC so there's gotta be some meetings somewhere. If anybody has any information on the next meeting, please email me at USAFquez@aol.com . I'm even willing to drive up to Tulsa now that I have my new TREMEC TKO 600 5-speed installed.
