:D Hello all,

I would like to thank Chris Hughes for serving as our Region 9 Director for the past year or so. While Chris will still be active in NECOA, Chris has decided to step down as director, and I am assuming his responsibilites.

So who the heck am I? Well I won't bore you with my autobiography, but I will tell you that I had wanted an El Camino since I was very small. Through the years, all of my vehicles have either been inherited, or aquired through particular circumstances or needs. In the fall of 2004, I decided it was time to finally get my Elky, so I trolled eBay (yes, evil eBay) and found a pretty good deal on my un-molested 77.

Personally, I am the co-founder and co-owner of an engineering services company in Ann Arbor, Michigan. I have been in design since 1985 and am always looking for ways to build a better mousetrap! I married my High School sweetheart :inlove: in 1986, and we have three daughters, 6, 10 & 11 years old.

I may be new to the El Camino community, but I have extensive experience with organizing events and management of social/fan organizations.

So what does this mean to you?

1. I would ask all of our Indiana, Kentucky and Michigan members to please update your location listed in your elcaminocentral account. If you would like to include your city, that would be great, but at least indicate your state. Also, please make sure your email address is up to date. Both these things will help us when organizing events in your area.

2. I would also ask all of our IN, KY & MI members to please join the Region 9 Usergroup. All you have to do is click here (http://www.elcaminocentral.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=groupcp) and select "Region 9" from the "Join a Group" section. Again this will help us when organizing events, to get the word out!

3. I need help! I am looking for members who are willing to serve as State Coordinators in Indiana and Kentucky. Your assignment, if you choose, is to keep your eyes and ears open to events and activities that would be of interest to NECOA members in your state, and to be our represtative at shows, cruises, etc. Interested members can email me directly.

I am looking forward to a great season of cruisin'
