I was just wondering if anyone has seen steel rollpans for 5th Gen Elkys. Reason being is that I am looking to mount some LED strip taillights, possibly two 15 inchers. Just curious.

Good Luck, I stopped looking after a few months and broke down and bought a fiberglass rollpan. Looks good works good and is quite strong. That might be the way you have to go unless you can have somebody custom build one for you.

I don't think they make steel pans, but I do think they make blank fiberglass pans if you're up to that type of work.

Thanks for the help, so in the case that I can't find a steel pan (most likely) Has as anyone attempted fiberglassing Steel to Fiberglass? HOw did it turn out any cracking, what did you use?
Thanks again.

Haven't done on of these but to attach glass to steel I use Duramix No.4125 works good, this stuff was made to mount glass to steel inner frames on glass cars. Lauren Eng. does have glass roll pans

Do a search for steel roll pans and start emailing companies asking if they offer one for your model elky. Thats what i did, i think i emailed a company in a magazine also and thats where i got mine. The only thing is that it ends where the ends of the tailgate end so you have to make a filler piece. I cut off those humps on each side and made an entire corner on each side.

Slowride,
My roll pan is fiberglass and I have grafted it to steel, I added alot more mounting locations so it would not move and now is very solid. I think that is a must, I used Marglass and fiberglass to marry it to the steel looks great is rock solid and no sign of cracking. Just take your time and if you think it's weak than make it stronger. The original mounting locations for the roll pan had only 3 attachment points, I added 2 on the bottom 2 on each corner and 2 more on the top, you can pull and tug anywhere on the pan and there is no movement at all.
