Just wondering if there were many el camino fanatics in southern illinois

I'm in Springfield and I've seen a few others around town. Some are real beaters/work rigs and one nice looking :-) custom.

Mine? 99% stock, under 46,000 miles, with new paint, upholstery, other minor upgrades, and lots of replacement parts :D .

I'm in west central close to the river. 87 el, maroon, 4.3L w/ 175k still running good. Currently tearing it down on restoration project. Want to put a 350 in but not sure how I would wire it up if I went w/ a 4 bbl carb intead of TBI.

I'm near St. Louis. I have my 84 Choo Choo and about to buy an 83 SS/RK.

I am just across the river in Evansville, IN. But I am from southern IL. There are more Elkys in the southern part than one would think. There is one fellow in Carmi and another around Grayville area who is constantly rebuilding them. :)

I am from Evansville, IL. That is right. Illinois, not Indiana. It is about 30 miles south of Belleville, IL. (largest town around mine). I am in southwestern Illinois. However, I am selling my elco, so I will soon not be an elco owner.

hi, im in southern il, south of marion, and have a 78 elky that ive slowly brought back from near destruction. ive owend it for 11 years and just did total interior refab, from bench seat column shift to bucket seat floor shift, mostly done off of ebay. if anyone needs any tips or tricks to do similar project send post.
