Jeez, I completly forgot about this post  Thanks for the info links.
Another question: Is there a big difference in brake feel with the braided hoses? I had a Fiero that had braided hoses on it and the brake pedal was rock hard and felt great. Could I expect that type of feel with the Elky's system with a braided upgrade?

When I put braided lines on my Camaro I really didn't feel that much difference. Can't say if there was a difference or my imagination.

I dunno, Tim. I looked at getting the fancy braided lines from InlineTube but after I saw the $100 price tag for three lines, I decided to go with the rubber ones and use my money elsewhere. You have a sweet ride..................BTW, how'd that new steering box work out for you?

I switched to braided brake hoses front and rear and I definitely got a firmer pedal, however I believe the rubber hoses may have been original which in itself could make a big difference.

I found the place I got my Camaro ones from. http://www.brakeco.com/ I think I paid $98 for the 5 lines it needed. I'm going to use them when I need the ones for the Elky when the brake mods are done.

Warpony, the steering box is a great upgrade, goes perfectly with the other suspension upgrades I have.

Thanks for the input on the hoses guys. After I get the T5 swap done, the brakes are next on the list. The stock style ones just arn't going to cut it much longer.

Five flexible lines? There are only three.

For a Camaro there are 5. I think the rear calipers have flexible lines like the front.

Actually mine has 6 now that I think about it. 2 for the front calipers, 2 for the rear calipers and 2 going to the rear axel. Some Camaros are 5 and some are 6. The ones with the 6th have traction control like mine does. It was a fun night swapping them.

All 5th Gens and I believe all El Caminos only have 3 flexible brake lines.

Yup, 3 flexible on the El Caminos.

I don't think anyone has said that any Elky has had 5 lines. I said my Camaro did (6 really) and I paid $98 for them. Maybe since Elkys only need half the amount my Camaro does Tim might be able to get the 3 that he needs at a good price.

I think there might have been a little confusion; just wanted to clarify.

Since I did the 4 wheel disc conversion to my 71 I have five braided lines, two to the front calipers, one to the rear end and one each from the ends of the steel lines that run across the axle housings to the raer calipers. But like I said that's on a conversion, not stock.
