Do you have a split bench seat...if so use the sliders off the split bench seat and bolt them to the buckets. If you don't have a split bench seat this is not gonna work and you'll have to do some additional work...ie, inner brackets (welded in place is best) to mount the sliders too in addition to finding a set of sliders out of any G-body with buckets or a split bench seat. They are available at just about any boneyard if you look for them. 3rd generation F-body (82-92) buckets are an easy swap. They will also hold your butt in place better than a bench!

You'll need the inner mounting brackets also that are spot welded to the floor.

just drill a hole in the floor and use nuts, bolts, and washers to hold the inner sliders in place. Beats tearing up the carpet and welding brackets that are nothing more a threaded rod or bolt. -Matt

I used a set of '92 Trans Am seats. The sliders were intact and used the existing mount with a thick piece of plate steel to make a small adapter about 2" long and drilled the holesin the plate. You could just punch a hole in the floor and use at least a 3/8 grade 8 bolt.

is it true that the s-10 blazer bucket seats will bolt up?

The sliders are available on ebay all the time and a good set usually will cost you about $15-$20.00---that beats heading to a boneyard and getting dirty-lol-check on ebay under Monte bucket seats

i've got seats from a 96 pontiac sunfire in mine i used the sliders from my split bench. they bolted right up to the seats, just had to bend them a little to get them to bolt to the floor. i think gm keeps the seat around the same size. so any gm seat will fit you just have to check the dimensions to be sure

Mine came from a 95-6 z24 cav. They bolted right up but mine came with factory buckets.

cool,so the older body style cav/sunbird seats should work too, right? i had a pair of cav seats in my car before but they were out of a 4-door so they didn't flip forward,so I tossed them.but they did bolt up to the stock bucket seat mounts on the floor. I'll be sure to measure the seats on the blazer when i go to the jy.

Ive got some 97 Firebird power leather buckets in mine. Got them on ebay for about $350.00. They had the sliders and I bolted them in.
You can check them out in my gallery pics.

I have the buckets you need. Factory out of my 85 SS El Camino, they are a faded red but no rips and they have never been smoked in. I have the brackets too.

Good info. I just picked up a set of gray leather buckets out of a 96 Blazer. Any hints?

Leo can you do me a favor and measure the seat base at its widest point and the seat back at its widest point---what year Monte did they come from?

Thanks Pete

I assume you mean the bucket seat measurement, I'll do that in a bit. Do you want the widest point at the seat cushin or the underside where the tracks mount? I'm not sure what year it was (surely mid 80's) but the interior was nearly identical to the Elky.

widest point of the seat cushion--and of the back cushion
