Hi guys,

I've been hitting all kinds of web sites looking for parts in the six months I've had my El Camino and can't believe I didn't come across this site sooner. When I spotted it I joined right away because I know it'll be a valuable source of information for my restoration.

Any members from New England here? How about R.I.?

Mine's a 1968 SS396 rustbucket. I totally rebuilt the engine this past winter and am now working on the body now that it's nice outside. Unfortunately it has more rust than good metal and I'm trying to figure out which direction to go in. Replace the panels OR go with another body? I figure it's worth it; there might not be too many of these around.

Any and all advice is welcomed so feel free to chime in when you see my posts on the other forums.

I haven't checked, but have you been to Goodmark's Site? They make panels and good ones. I don't know if they have the parts your looking for but its worth a look if you haven't already. Then there is Year One and OPGI. Check out the links section of this site.
