I used the crossmember from Jeg's. It was less expensive, and fit perfectly. Probably not as beefy as the others though, but since I don't run at the track it suited my purpose (true duals).

I have one from Iceman as I believe so does Supercharged 86. He has sold over 150 of these since then, and he has no complaints from any customers. If you want the most bang for the buck, get his!!! It's cheaper, better and stronger than anyone else's...you only have to paint it yourself. I bought mine over two years ago...and still get a big smile on my face whenever I look at it! Wouldn't you like that feeling too? :)

I was going to get one from Rick (Iceman) not long ago, but the money went somewhere else :roll: I know they are identicle if not better than G-force and MUCH cheaper. Go for it!

I too am looking for a crossmember for my 86 elky. I just completed installing a 350 engine and a 700R4 trans. Have not been able to locate a crossmember anywhere in the area. I checked with Jegs as someone suggested however they do not have on for my application and the G Force crossmember is a bit pricey for me. I saw where someone suggested "Iceman". can anyone out there tell me how to contact him?

Thanks for the info, I just e-mailed him. I hope he has what I need. I'm getting excited since I am so close after sooooo long!

I hope he makes one for that trans. If he doesn't he might be able to do a one-off. It should look something like this one he makes for a 4L80 trans.

The summit ones are g-force members. Iceman makes one for about any application. Here is a link to his display. I don't think that is everything though.

The picture above of the car with the body off the frame is listed in his pics as the 4L80E (700R4) crossmember. I encourage you to buy from Rick. His prices and parts are great. I bought the A/C delete panel from him and it was a nice peice. Keep the little guy going. Summit and Jegs don't need anymore money than they already are getting.

I installed the crossmember I purchased from "Iceman" this weekend. Excellent fit and very fair price. It was almost $100 less than everyone else. It is very "Stout"; I'm positive it will probably outlast the car. Thanks for your advice and direction.
