Hey guys ... this mostly pertains to the east coast members we have, but not necessarily if you like to travel. Are any of you going to the April 2nd car show that Chevytalk.com is officially sponsoring in Smithfield, Va.? They are hosting a Chevy only show (anything Chevy powered built prior to 1973) in historic Smithfield, Va. Sounds like alot of fun.

I'm most likely going to drive down (about 5hrs) and check it out provided the weather holds out, I'm not driving 5hrs in the rain in my elky for a one day local show. But I will be going if the weather holds out.

If anyone is going or will be in the Virginia Beach, Va area on April 1st or April 2nd and wants to meet up or will be at the show, let me know, if all goes well and the weather holds out and nothing comes up I'll be pulling in on Friday, April 1st in the early afternoon.

I emailed a couple fellas about the show ... they say their expecting 200+ cars, sounds like alot of fun ... rooms are still in their winter rates too ... I found many very reasonable in both Newport News, Va. and Virginia Beach, Va. (about 30 mins away)

They are missing the boat ( or should we say Elky) by limiting to 1973 or earlier. I live in this area and there are alot of nice newer rods cars, trucks etc.
