Late model Elky's have very bad ground wires. First thing I would check. Also there is a bayonet type connector in the back of the instrument cluster that gets oxidized, clean it up with a piece of emory cloth to fix some of the damdest problems. My turn signals would work exactly one time then die. Turn the ignition off and back on they would work one more time. Cleaned the cluster connector and the prob was gone.
