In an earlier post I happened to mention that my engine was breaking up at the strip when I got close to 5000 rpms. I was told that it was the following things possibly.
A: valve springs
B: timing
C: carb
D: plug wires (my guess)
And the winner is (drum roll) D: plug wires, I changed out the Accel Super Stock (carbon core) wires for Accel Spiral Wound core wires. Winds right up now without breaking up.

Yes, Everyone should switch over to spiral core wires. Even if you run a stock igition. They are FAR superior to stock.

Are these Accell Spiral Core wires better than MSD 8.5MM super conductors? I Was gonna buy a set of those and the MSD HEI tune-up kit...but if these Accell's are better I might get them.

The key is spiral core. I don't think the brand would mater as much. The quality of the MSD wires seems to be alittle better, but probadly not enough difference for the cost.
