I'm doing a 95 lt1(camaro) swap into an 80 elky. I have gone through the helm manual and have just found out that the lt1 has 4 coolant line running to the radiator from it ( not including the resivoir bottle) there are 3 from the water pump( 2 large and 1 small) and 1 from the throttle body. aside from getting a 95 camaro radiator what can I do to still use the stock elky radiator. also I have the heater flow control valve for the lt1 and it has 3 ports for coolant and one vacum port??? what do I do with these.

thanks for the info.

.. I'd recommend you use the radiator from a 3rd gen f-body (i.e. 91' Z-28 ) Aluminum and works much better.. bolt in deal.. Modine 951 at the parts store!

Anyhow.. The thermostat exit goes to the lower nipple on your radiator while the exit cast into the water pump goes to the upper.. Don't run a hose to the Throttle Body.. excess heat, you don't need it! Run that to the nipple of the radiator just below the overflow nipple/ cap.. That hose comes from the back of the heads to prevent steam pockets!

There are three smaller nipples on the water pump.. the two that are on the left side of the pump as your facing the motor are for the heater core, hook them up like your factory ones did.. the one on the lower right, under the cast exit, can be blocked off.. I've run one like that without problem...

Have fun and Good Luck!

I put a LT-1 in my 59. if you look in the gallery of my motor you will see I made a bypass that runs directly into the upper radiater hose so you can run your stock radiater.
