I always look at broken parts as an opportunity to improve my ride.

i guess this is the time to rebuild it and put so heavy duty sprags and and stuff in the tranny. glass is half full type of thing.

Now's your chance to build it stronger, faster and more reliable. Breaking a stock 700 ain't hard especially the early versions.

i was only doing about 60 on the highway...of course i've done about 50 holeshots since i put the new posi unit in last thursday. wonder what could have caused the tranny to go? :-P

Maybe you weren't crossing your fingers during those burnouts?

There's a really good tranny place in sebastian florida area.. they do alot of work for my cousin down there who runs a shop... they did his 700 tranny for his blazer, with lift, well built 355 tbi, 4.11 gear posi, big tires, and it shifts like a corvette, very durable.. I can probably hook you up if you want...
