Well, I decided to replace the muffler and tailpipe on my El Camino because they were, well, shot. The muffler and tailpipe were rotted through, which surprised the heck outta me because my El Camino has such low mileage on it and NO rust at all.
Anyway, they needed replacement. I needed something that would get the job done, cheap, and of a decent quality. I headed to auto parts store which that we have our contract with and they supplied me with a Walker Quietflow muffler and tailpipe.
After installing them, I can definitely realize why they call it the "Quietflow". These things make the ElCo quieter than any car I've ever heard, no joke. If you push the gas, the only sound heard from the car is from outside, and all you can hear is the engine. Virtually NO noise comes out from the exhaust, it's pretty intense.
Not that a great number of people want a car that lacks a sound, but for those that do, this is definitely for you. Costing only about $65 for the muffler, tailpipe, hangers, and tax, I'd say they were quite worth it.
I'll have pictures up soon, guys. Take it easy.
