Where can the build sheet for a 1987 El Camino be found? In the webbing of the seats? Under the dash? Thanks Brian

I've heard of them being found on top of the gas tank, under the headliner and under the carpet/seats. Most anywhere they can be gotten to easily as the vehicle went down the production line.

I thought they stopped putting them in the cars with the 5th gen.'s and relied on the RPO (regular production option) sticker inside the glove box?

I know we just finished tearing down an '85 and sure didn't find one anywhere. I'm pretty sure no one had it appart before us.

Nope, not so, I found the build sheet for my 82 stuffed in the seat springs.

Found mine on top of the gas tank...
