ok here is the story....my parents just sold a 1971 Olds Vista Cruiser and it had a 350 and a turbo 350 tranny......well the people that bought it own an old car museum and have old 50's cars with very extremely low miles and were gonna use this car to tow them around and were also going to restore this one too and they said that they were going to change the motor and tranny out ( a olds 455 and a TH400) so they told my dad that they were just going to throw the 350 and tranny away that were in the car now.....well when we were coming back from dinner tonight my dad asked me if i would like to put them in my car.....since i only have the 305 and wanted to change the motor anyways i jumped all over that and said YES!!! so the guy is going to come pick up the car tomarrow and in like a couple weeks he might send that motor to us and i will have a new 350 and tranny!! wish me luck guys!!

That's an Oldsmobile 350 so it won't be a simple bolt in, the engine moutns are different. Just FYI.. Olds 350 isn't the same as Chevy 350. Good engine though, better than what your 84 has now.

No, trust me, just because they are both GM does not mean that they are the same.. Olds 350 motor mounts are not the same. And yes, it is an easy fix though. The tranny is different too.. Chevy has a different bolt pattern than buick, olds, pontiac.. commonly called BOP.
