I want to replace my radio in my '85, and I would like to use something similar to the one in my '97 C5- it has a feature that automatically increases volume as you go faster. I am worried about the security codes, and getting one from a junk yard that will be able to work.

Can anyone suggest a particular model and year of GM vehicle to try and look for a donor radio that has the above mentioned feature? I don't think one out of a Corvette will be the best- too expensive, and you may need the BOSE speakers to really get the benefit. If anyone has one they want to sell, let me know as well.

Also, any inputs on problems in making this swap would be appreciated.

As always, thanks for the help!!

My Lumina has that function. Seems to me that it would be connected to the tach somehow, possibly the speedometer.

Anyway, like I started off saying my Lumina has that finction. Problem is, most Delco Stereos are 1.5 DIN and the radio originally, I believe, is a 1.0 DIN or normal radio size. Is that right, you have a slim radio?

CHeck out Malibus, Luminas, some Buicks and so forth. Most have that function, Monty Carlos. Look at 95 and up cars. I suggest.
