i just drove from austin to Dallas!

i saw at mile 350, south of Waco, a place called ???antique chevy parts???
they had an elky out front with a $6450 pricetag, then i noticed they had some projects out back too. It was sunday so they were closed, but it looked like a good place to check out if your ever traveling on the south side.
there are auto traders that ask how many miles from your zipcode are you willing to purchase. they were coming up with some places in dallas that seem to always have some quality minos.

ill search my notes and let you know if i have the number to that dallas place, i remember they had a good website....

I picked up a 71 BIG BLOCK SS El Camino back in September that I planned on finnishing. The car is very solid and runs pretty well. In fact I drove it back from Phoenix, AZ with out any problems to my home in Midland, TX (800+miles) In fact I got about 15 miles per gallon. The car is Yellow with Black top. Has the correct 5 spoke wheels. Turbo 400 trans, bucket seats with floor shifter.

I have purchase new carpets, seat foam, and upholstery but have not yet installed.

The car will need to be painted but is acceptible from 20feet. I recently changed jobs and travel virtually every week which is leaving little time to work on this project. :-(

I believe this car to be a true big block car. I'm not sure about it being an SS?

The car has A/C which is all in place but is not cooling. The engine still has all the emmissions plumbing including the air tubes on the exhaust manifolds and the AIR pump. Also it has an original 8Track stereo.

This will make a great car when finnished. Not trying to make a profit but would like to break even on the cost.
